Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand located in the foothills (altitude 1100 meters or 3500 feet). Days are hot and evening cool. It is an ideal base from which to explore 700 hundred years of history in town and a wealth of unique nearby villiages. And don’t forget the food!
