About The NRCSA Center

The NRCSA Center in Porto has successfully conducted Portuguese courses for foreigners since 1972. Students are offered free access to all the facilities, which include a language library, language laboratory, video services, and computer services. The teachers are carefully selected, university qualified, and native speakers of Portuguese.

The Center holds membership in a variety of qualitative organizations, including the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Lisbon, the Portuguese UK Chamber of Commerce, the College Consortium of International Studies in the U.S., the International Association of Language Centers (IALC), and the International Conference Group of Portugal, U.S.

About Porto

The capital of north Portugal, where the past of one of the most ancient cities in the Iberian peninsula is found side-by-side with the most modern urban development. It is an economic center and is famous for its scenic beauty, excellent wines, fashionable villas and its 3 remarkable bridges. Scattered about the city there are many monument which provide rich examples of Romanesque, gothic, baroque, roccoco and neoclassical styles of architecture. From the city one can explore the extremely attractive Minho province, or enjoy the beautiful beaches. The main places of cultural and historic interest are within a few minutes walk from the center in Porto, as are the main business and shopping areas.
