NRCSA Center: Costa Rica Academy
San Jose, Costa Rica

About The NRCSA Center

Located in a quiet, secure neighborhood, the school is close to places of interest for the students - a short walk to the University of Costa Rica campus, close to the well-known San Pedro Mall and to a variety of restaurants, cinemas, banks, Internet cafes, and many stores. It is also a 20 minute walk from downtown San José and a short bus ride from our homestay families.

If you want to learn Spanish in Costa Rica, it makes sense that you immerse yourself in the culture, as this will ensure a well-rounded hands on experience, which the we are committed to providing for each student.

All teachers and local staff that interacts with students are native Spanish speakers. That being said, we are eager to share our culture with you while providing you the opportunity to learn at our school.

About San Jose

San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, is home to several excellent museums and many of the country's best hotels, restaurants, and nightlife options. The city's other great assets are its location and mild climate as San José enjoys pleasant weather year round and stands in a broad fertile bowl ringed by jagged mountains, some of which are active volcanoes. Downtown, the grid-plan streets are lined with an pastiche of mirrored high-rises and elegant bungalows; in the affluent suburbs at the eastern and western ends of the city, middle-class Ticos (as Costa Ricans call themselves) tend their tidy gardens, while sprawling barrios stretch to the north and south.
