Special Activities

Cultural & Sports Activities The central location of the institute makes it easy to seek out and explore many places of interest. The ancient and historical part of the town ("Zona Colonial") is just a 10-minute bus drive away from the school. All centers of social or cultural life (museums, theaters, cinemas, sport centers, restaurants and bars) can be easily reached by public transportation.

Music and dancing are at the heart of Dominican life. The school organizes courses of Merengue and Salsa - and provides valuable insider tips to those eager to become better acquainted with the more traditional and original dancing spots.

In Santo Domingo, the following activities are available:

  •   Dancing
  •   Museums
  •   Theater
  •   Cultural Events
  •   Tennis
  •   Fitness Training
  •   Hiking
  •   Excursions

Intercambios & Social Activities English and German is taught to local Dominicans, thus creating an ideal situation for intercambios (language exchanges), and social activities to be shared by Spanish, German and English learners.

Short excursions are also arranged and combine Spanish Language students with Dominican students of the German and English departments.
