Programs & Activities - Queretaro, Mexico

Programs

Entrance exams are taken by arriving students in order to place them in the appropriate group and level. Classes are with different teachers who are rotated on a weekly basis. This has proven to be of great benefit in the learning of the language, due to the fact that students are exposed to different accents and pronunciation of the language. Each week teachers evaluate their students. Groups may be redefined as students progress through the program at different rates. Groups have a maximum of 5 students. If there is no group at a student's level, a smaller group or tutor classes may be substituted with fewer hours per week.

All classes start every Monday, are taught exclusively in Spanish and are offered in the classrooms and the colonial "patio" of the school. Students may choose to study for 1 or more weeks in any program. There are 5 minute breaks between classes, consequently a "class hour" is 55 minutes. Spanish classes are in the morning and cultural classes in the afternoon. Additional Tutor classes may be arranged and are charged by the hour. Five levels are offered by the school, with each equaling 100 total hours: Beginners 1, Beginners 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, Advanced.

Executive Intensive Program

The school offers several different options for families with children year-round :

* An organized Children's Program for 7 - 14 year-olds that includes 15 hours per week (3 hours per day) of Spanish language, vocabulary, games, outdoor activities, movies and more. The group size depends on how many children are at the school at any given time.
