Homestay
Centro Internacional recommends students opt for housing with local Spanish-speaking families. Housing accommodations are comfortable and provide an invaluable opportunity for participating in local life and for practicing Spanish every waking hour. Food is Yucatan-style, but no hot peppers are used, unless specifically requested. Drinking water is safe and hot water is available for bathing. Families enjoy making foreigners feel at home. A short, inexpensive bus ride is necessary to reach school from homes in certain locations. Those students who prefer to live within walking distance may so specify, but are reminded that all housing accommodations are subject to availability.
Hotels Medium priced hotels are also available at convenient locations and may be reserved through the school if a first-night room deposit is received at least three weeks in advance of arrival.
