Accommodations
The host families are carefully selected, as are the hotels and apartments. Do not forget to specify on the registration form any dietary requirements, allergies, smoker / nonsmoker, etc., as well as any other preferences. Staying with families allow students to practice the language and to become acquainted with the Spanish way of life. The accommodations director of each school, always at the students' disposal, can change your family accommodation if the need arises.
El Puerto de Santa Maria
Homestays
Most families are within 20-25 minutes walking distance to the school. In the event that the homestay is farther away, students can use public transportation (bus), the ride being approximately 10 minutes. Laundry Included (1 machine load per week).
Student Apartments
Those students who wish to take a one, two, or three month course in El Puerto de Santa Maria, may be interested in renting a room in an apartment shared with other students. The rooms are furnished with bedding provided. The bathroom and kitchen are communal. Students should bring their own towels, and are expected to pay for little expenses (gas, soap, etc.). Most of the apartments are 20 minutes away by public transportation. Keys will be given to the student upon arrival on the Sunday afternoon before classes begin.
Hotels
The El Puerto center suggests Hotel Santa Maria as a lodging option at additional cost. Includes a single room with breakfast daily.
Arrival Information
Arrival transfer from the airport for all other programs is available upon request and at additional cost. Lodging information is sent 7 - 14 days prior to departure. Information of where to go and how to get there will be sent to students prior to departure.
